In 2022, shipments abroad of yoghurt was finally on the rise to reach X tons after four years of decline. In general, exports, however, recorded a abrupt slump. The most prominent rate of growth was recorded in 2017 with an increase of X% against the previous year. The volume of export peaked at X tons in 2012; however, from 2013 to 2022, the exports remained at a lower figure.
In value terms, yoghurt exports expanded modestly to $X in 2022. Over the period under review, exports, however, recorded a abrupt setback. The most prominent rate of growth was recorded in 2013 when exports increased by X%. The level of export peaked at $X in 2015; however, from 2016 to 2022, the exports remained at a lower figure.
Exports by Country
Saudi Arabia was the key exporter of yoghurt in the Middle East, with the volume of exports recording X tons, which was approx. X% of total exports in 2022. It was distantly followed by Iran (X tons), committing a X% share of total exports. The United Arab Emirates (X tons) and Turkey (X tons) followed a long way behind the leaders.
From 2012 to 2022, the biggest increases were recorded for Saudi Arabia (with a CAGR of X%), while shipments for the other leaders experienced a decline in the exports figures.
