Wood Residues Exports

Exports in the Middle East

In 2020, shipments abroad of wood residues increased by X% to X cubic meters, rising for the fifth consecutive year after three years of decline. In general, exports showed a prominent expansion. The growth pace was the most rapid in 2018 when exports increased by X%. Over the period under review, the exports hit record highs in 2020 and are likely to see gradual growth in years to come.

In value terms, wood residues exports rose sharply to $X in 2020. Over the period under review, exports enjoyed a strong increase. The pace of growth appeared the most rapid in 2016 with an increase of X%. Over the period under review, the exports reached the peak figure in 2020 and are expected to retain growth in the immediate term.

Turkey was the largest exporter of wood residues in the Middle East, with the volume of exports finishing at X cubic meters, which was approx. X% of total exports in 2020. The most prominent rate of growth was recorded in 2014 with an increase of X% against the previous year. Over the period under review, imports reached the maximum in 2020 and are expected to retain growth in the immediate term.
