Over the period under review, exports hit record highs at X tons in 2018; however, from 2019 to 2020, exports remained at a lower figure.

In value terms, unwrought aluminium alloys exports contracted rapidly to $X in 2020. Over the period under review, exports, however, showed a noticeable expansion. The most prominent rate of growth was recorded in 2011 when exports increased by X% year-to-year. The level of export peaked at $X in 2018; however, from 2019 to 2020, exports failed to regain the momentum.

Exports by Country

The United Arab Emirates represented the major exporter of unwrought aluminium alloys in the Middle East, with the volume of exports resulting at X tons, which was near X% of total exports in 2020. It was distantly followed by Bahrain (X tons), making up a X% share of total exports. The following exporters - Turkey (X tons) and Saudi Arabia (X tons) - each resulted at a X% share of total exports.

From 2007 to 2020, average annual rates of growth with regard to unwrought aluminium alloys exports from the United Arab Emirates stood at +X%. At the same time, Bahrain (+X%) and Turkey (+X%) displayed positive paces of growth. Over the period under review, imports attained the maximum at X tons in 2015; however, from 2016 to 2020, imports failed to regain the momentum.

In value terms, unwrought aluminium alloys imports rose slightly to $X in 2020. In general, imports, however, showed a buoyant increase. The pace of growth appeared the most rapid in 2014 with an increase of X% against the previous year.
