Exports in the Middle East

In 2022, approx. X tons of soap were exported in the Middle East; increasing by X% compared with 2021. Over the period under review, exports, however, saw a relatively flat trend pattern. The most prominent rate of growth was recorded in 2020 with an increase of X%. As a result, the exports attained the peak of X tons. From 2021 to 2022, the growth of the exports remained at a lower figure.

In value terms, soap exports surged to $X in 2022. In general, exports continue to indicate a relatively flat trend pattern. The pace of growth appeared the most rapid in 2020 with an increase of X% against the previous year. As a result, the exports attained the peak of $X; afterwards, it flattened through to 2022.

Turkey was the key exporter of soap in the Middle East, with the volume of exports accounting for X tons, which was approx. X% of total exports in 2022. The United Arab Emirates (X tons) took a X% share (based on physical terms) of total exports, which put it in second place, followed by Israel (X%) and Saudi Arabia (X%). Iran (X tons) and Bahrain (X tons) followed a long way behind the leaders.

From 2012 to 2022, average annual rates of growth with regard to soap exports from Turkey stood at X%. At the same time, Bahrain (X%) and the United Arab Emirates (X%) displayed positive paces of growth.
