Canned Mushroom Market Size in the Middle East

The Middle Eastern canned mushroom market dropped to $X in 2020, shrinking by -X% against the previous year. Overall, consumption recorded a relatively flat trend pattern. In 2020, approx. X tonnes of canned mushrooms were exported in the Middle East; picking up by X% on the previous year's figure. Total exports indicated a notable expansion from 2007 to 2020: its volume increased at an average annual rate of +X% over the last thirteen-year period. The trend pattern, however, indicated some noticeable fluctuations being recorded throughout the analyzed period. Based on 2020 figures, exports decreased by -X% against 2016 indices. The volume of export peaked at X tonnes in 2016; however, from 2017 to 2020, exports failed to regain the momentum.

In value terms, canned mushroom exports skyrocketed to $X in 2020. In general, exports recorded temperate growth. The pace of growth was the most pronounced in 2018 when exports increased by X% against the previous year. As a result, exports reached the peak of $X. from 2019 to 2020, the growth exports remained at a somewhat lower figure.

Turkey was the major exporter of canned mushrooms in the Middle East, with the volume of exports reaching X tonnes, which was approx. X% of total exports in 2020. It was distantly followed by the United Arab Emirates (X tonnes), Palestine (X tonnes), Kuwait (X tonnes), Israel (X tonnes), Saudi Arabia (X tonnes), Lebanon (X tonnes) and Jordan (X tonnes), together mixing up a X% share of total exports.

From 2007 to 2020, average annual rates of growth with regard to canned mushroom exports from Turkey stood at +X%. At the same time, Israel (+X%), Palestine (+X%), Kuwait (+X%), Saudi Arabia (+X%) and Lebanon (+X%) displayed positive paces of growth. Moreover, Israel emerged as the fastest-growing exporter exported in the Middle East, with a CAGR of +X% from 2007-2020. Jordan experienced a relatively flat trend pattern. By contrast, the United Arab Emirates (-X%) illustrated a downward trend over the same period. Turkey (+X p.p.), Palestine (+X p.p.), Israel (+X p.p.), Kuwait (+X p.p.) and Saudi Arabia (+X p.p.) significantly strengthened its position in terms of the total exports, while Jordan and the United Arab Emirates saw its share reduced by -X% and -X% from 2007 to 2020, respectively. In value terms, Turkey ($X) remains the largest canned mushroom supplier in the Middle East, comprising X% of total exports. The second position in the ranking was occupied by Kuwait ($X), with a X% share of total exports. It was followed by Palestine, with a X% share.

In Turkey, canned mushroom exports expanded at an average annual rate of +X% over the period from 2007-2020. In the other countries, the average annual rates were as follows: Kuwait (+X% per year) and Palestine (+X% per year).

In 2020, the canned mushroom export price in the Middle East amounted to $X per tonne, reducing by -X% against the previous year. The volume of import peaked at X tonnes in 2018; however, from 2019 to 2020, imports stood at a somewhat lower figure.
