Exports in the Middle East

In 2023, the amount of feldspar exported in the Middle East reduced rapidly to X tons, waning by X% against the previous year's figure. Total exports indicated a modest increase from 2012 to 2023: its volume increased at an average annual rate of X% over the last eleven years. The trend pattern, however, indicated some noticeable fluctuations being recorded throughout the analyzed period. Based on 2023 figures, exports decreased by X% against 2021 indices. The most prominent rate of growth was recorded in 2021 when exports increased by X%. As a result, the exports attained the peak of X tons. From 2022 to 2023, the growth of the exports remained at a somewhat lower figure.

In value terms, feldspar exports declined remarkably to $X in 2023. Over the period under review, exports, however, showed a resilient expansion. The pace of growth was the most pronounced in 2021 with an increase of X% against the previous year. Over the period under review, the exports reached the peak figure at $X in 2022, and then shrank significantly in the following year.

Exports by Country

Turkey dominates exports structure, resulting at X tons, which was near X% of total exports in 2023. Iran (X tons) took a minor share of total exports.

From 2012 to 2023, average annual rates of growth with regard to feldspar exports from Turkey stood at X%. At the same time, Iran (X%) displayed positive paces of growth. Moreover, Iran emerged as the fastest-growing exporter exported in the Middle East, with a CAGR of X% from 2012-2023. The shares of the largest exporters remained relatively stable throughout the analyzed period.

In value terms, Turkey ($X) remains the largest feldspar supplier in the Middle East, comprising X% of total exports. The second position in the ranking was held by Iran ($X), with a X% share of total exports.

From 2012 to 2023, the average annual growth rate of value in Turkey stood at X%.

Export Prices by Country

The export price in the Middle East stood at $X per ton in 2023, rising by X% against the previous year. Export price indicated a temperate expansion from 2012 to 2023: its price increased at an average annual rate of X% over the last eleven-year period. The trend pattern, however, indicated some noticeable fluctuations being recorded throughout the analyzed period. Based on 2023 figures, feldspar export price increased by X% against 2017 indices. The pace of growth appeared the most rapid in 2022 when the export price increased by X%. The level of export peaked in 2023 and is expected to retain growth in the near future.

Average prices varied noticeably amongst the major exporting countries. In 2023, amid the top suppliers, the country with the highest price was Iran ($X per ton), while Turkey totaled $X per ton.

From 2012 to 2023, the most notable rate of growth in terms of prices was attained by Turkey (X%).

Imports in the Middle East

In 2023, approx. X tons of feldspar were imported in the Middle East; increasing by X% on 2022 figures. Over the period under review, imports, however, saw a noticeable decline. The volume of import peaked at X tons in 2013; however, from 2014 to 2023, imports failed to regain momentum.

In value terms, feldspar imports skyrocketed to $X in 2023. In general, imports saw a relatively flat trend pattern. The growth pace was the most rapid in 2021 with an increase of X% against the previous year. Over the period under review, imports hit record highs at $X in 2014; however, from 2015 to 2023, imports stood at a somewhat lower figure.

Imports by Country

The United Arab Emirates represented the key importer of feldspar in the Middle East, with the volume of imports resulting at X tons, which was approx. X% of total imports in 2023. Israel (X tons) took the second position in the ranking, followed by Turkey (X tons) and Iran (X tons). All these countries together took approx. X% share of total imports. The following importers - Kuwait (X tons) and Oman (X tons) - each resulted at a X% share of total imports.

From 2012 to 2023, average annual rates of growth with regard to feldspar imports into the United Arab Emirates stood at X%. At the same time, Israel (X%) and Kuwait (X%) displayed positive paces of growth. Moreover, Israel emerged as the fastest-growing importer imported in the Middle East, with a CAGR of X% from 2012-2023. Turkey and Oman experienced a relatively flat trend pattern. By contrast, Iran (X%) illustrated a downward trend over the same period. Israel (X p.p.), Turkey (X p.p.) and Kuwait (X p.p.) significantly strengthened its position in terms of the total imports, while the shares of the other countries remained relatively stable throughout the analyzed period.

In value terms, the United Arab Emirates ($X), Israel ($X) and Turkey ($X) appeared to be the countries with the highest levels of imports in 2023, together comprising X% of total imports.

Israel, with a CAGR of X%, recorded the highest growth rate of the value of imports, in terms of the main importing countries over the period under review, while purchases for the other leaders experienced more modest paces of growth.

Import Prices by Country

The import price in the Middle East stood at $X per ton in 2023, with a decrease of X% against the previous year. In general, the import price, however, recorded a notable increase. The pace of growth appeared the most rapid in 2022 when the import price increased by X%. As a result, import price reached the peak level of $X per ton, and then fell dramatically in the following year.

Prices varied noticeably by country of destination: amid the top importers, the country with the highest price was Israel ($X per ton), while the United Arab Emirates ($X per ton) was amongst the lowest.

From 2012 to 2023, the most notable rate of growth in terms of prices was attained by Turkey (X%), while the other leaders experienced more modest paces of growth.
