Exports in the Middle East

In 2022, carbon electrode exports in the Middle East soared to X tons, rising by X% against 2021. Overall, exports posted resilient growth. The pace of growth appeared the most rapid in 2013 when exports increased by X% against the previous year. As a result, the exports attained the peak of X tons. From 2014 to 2022, the growth of the exports remained at a lower figure.

In value terms, carbon electrode exports dropped significantly to $X in 2022. Over the period under review, exports recorded strong growth. In 2022, approx. X tons of carbon electrodes were imported in the Middle East; picking up by X% compared with the previous year. In general, imports enjoyed prominent growth. The most prominent rate of growth was recorded in 2020 when imports increased by X%. The volume of import peaked in 2022 and is likely to see steady growth in years to come.

In 2022, the import price in the Middle East amounted to $X per ton, picking up by X% against the previous year. Overall, the import price, however, saw a slight descent. The most prominent rate of growth was recorded in 2018 an increase of X% against the previous year. As a result, import price reached the peak level of $X per ton. From 2019 to 2022, the import prices remained at a somewhat lower figure.
