Ferro-Alloys Exports

Exports in MENA

In 2022, exports of ferro-alloys in MENA dropped sharply to X tons, declining by X% on the previous year. Over the period under review, exports, however, saw a strong increase. The pace of growth was the most pronounced in 2021 when exports increased by X% against the previous year. As a result, the exports reached the peak of X tons, and then dropped rapidly in the following year.

In value terms, ferro-alloys exports dropped notably to $X in 2022. In general, exports, however, saw resilient growth. The pace of growth appeared the most rapid in 2021 when exports increased by X%. As a result, the exports reached the peak of $X, and then fell significantly in the following year.

Exports by Country

Turkey was the major exporting country with an export of around X tons, which recorded X% of total exports. Iran (X tons) ranks second in terms of the total exports with a X% share, followed by Oman (X%), Saudi Arabia (X%) and Egypt (X%). The following exporters - Kuwait (X tons) and the United Arab Emirates (X tons) - each accounted for a X% share of total exports.

From 2012 to 2022, average annual rates of growth with regard to ferro-alloys exports from Turkey stood at X%. At the same time, Kuwait (X%), Oman (X%), Iran (X%), Saudi Arabia (X%) and Egypt (X%) displayed positive paces of growth. Moreover, Kuwait emerged as the fastest-growing exporter exported in MENA, with a CAGR of X% from 2012-2022. By contrast, the United Arab Emirates (X%) illustrated a downward trend over the same period. While the share of Oman (X p.p.), Iran (X p.p.) and Kuwait (X p.p.) increased significantly in terms of the total exports from 2012-2022, the share of Saudi Arabia (X p.p.), Egypt (X p.p.) and the United Arab Emirates (X p.p.) displayed negative dynamics. The shares of the other countries remained relatively stable throughout the analyzed period.

Export price indicated noticeable growth from 2012 to 2022: its price increased at an average annual rate of X% over the last decade. The trend pattern, however, indicated some noticeable fluctuations being recorded throughout the analyzed period.
