The average silk fabric export price stood at $X per square meter in 2020, shrinking by -X% against the previous year. In general, export price indicated perceptible growth from 2007 to 2020: its price increased at an average annual rate of +X% over the last thirteen years. The trend pattern, however, indicated some noticeable fluctuations being recorded throughout the analyzed period. Based on 2020 figures, silk fabric export price increased by +X% against 2018 indices. The most prominent rate of growth was recorded in 2019 an increase of X% year-to-year. Imports into Mexico

In 2020, the amount of woven fabrics of silk or of silk waste imported into Mexico declined markedly to X square meters, which is down by -X% on the previous year's figure. In general, imports faced a precipitous setback. The most prominent rate of growth was recorded in 2010 with an increase of X% against the previous year. Imports peaked at X square meters in 2007; however, from 2008 to 2020, imports failed to regain the momentum.

In value terms, silk fabric imports dropped dramatically to $X in 2020. Over the period under review, imports saw a sharp downturn. The most prominent rate of growth was recorded in 2013 when imports increased by X% y-o-y. Imports peaked at $X in 2007; however, from 2008 to 2020, imports remained at a lower figure.

In 2020, South Korea (X square meters) constituted the largest supplier of silk fabric to Mexico, accounting for a X% share of total imports.
