Perfume exports declined slightly to X tons in 2022, shrinking by X% compared with the previous year. In general, exports showed a noticeable reduction. The most prominent rate of growth was recorded in 2021 with an increase of X% against the previous year. Over the period under review, the exports reached the maximum at X tons in 2013; however, from 2014 to 2022, the exports stood at a somewhat lower figure.
In value terms, perfume exports rose to $X in 2022. Overall, exports showed a noticeable reduction. The pace of growth was the most pronounced in 2021 when exports increased by X% against the previous year. Over the period under review, the exports attained the maximum at $X in 2013; however, from 2014 to 2022, the exports remained at a lower figure.

In 2022, Colombia (X tons) was the major exporter of perfumes and toilet waters, making up X% of total exports. Brazil (X tons) held the second position in the ranking, distantly followed by Argentina (X tons) and Peru (X tons). All these countries together took approx. X% share of total exports. Chile (X tons) took a little share of total exports.
From 2012 to 2022, average annual rates of growth with regard to perfume exports from Colombia stood at X%. At the same time, Brazil (X%) displayed positive paces of growth. Moreover, Brazil emerged as the fastest-growing exporter exported in MERCOSUR, with a CAGR of X% from 2012-2022. Chile experienced a relatively flat trend pattern. There were significant differences in the average prices amongst the major exporting countries. In 2022, amid the top suppliers, the country with the highest price was Chile ($X per ton), while Argentina ($X per ton) was amongst the lowest.

The pace of growth appeared the most rapid in 2021 with an increase of X% against the previous year. Over the period under review, imports hit record highs at X tons in 2013; however, from 2014 to 2022, imports failed to regain momentum.
In value terms, perfume imports expanded slightly to $X in 2022. In general, imports, however, saw a slight downturn. The pace of growth was the most pronounced in 2021 when imports increased by X%. Chile represented the largest importer of perfumes and toilet waters in MERCOSUR, with the volume of imports recording X tons, which was near X% of total imports in 2022. It was distantly followed by Brazil (X tons), Peru (X tons), Argentina (X tons), Paraguay (X tons) and Colombia (X tons), together making up a X% share of total imports. Venezuela (X tons) followed a long way behind the leaders.
Chile was also the fastest-growing in terms of the perfumes and toilet waters imports, with a CAGR of X% from 2012 to 2022. At the same time, Argentina (X%), Brazil (X%) and Peru (X%) displayed positive paces of growth. By contrast, Paraguay (X%), Colombia (X%) and Venezuela (X%) illustrated a downward trend over the same period.
