Exports in MENA
In 2021, after six years of growth, there was significant decline in overseas shipments of manostats, when their volume decreased by -19.6% to X units. In general, exports, however, showed a strong expansion. The most prominent rate of growth was recorded in 2017 when exports increased by 37%. Over the period under review, the exports reached the maximum at X units in 2020, and then shrank sharply in the following year.
In value terms, manostat exports declined to $X in 2021. Total exports indicated a moderate expansion from 2012 to 2021: its value increased at an average annual rate of +3.2% over the last nine years. The trend pattern, however, indicated some noticeable fluctuations being recorded throughout the analyzed period. Based on 2021 figures, exports decreased by -12.7% against 2018 indices. The most prominent rate of growth was recorded in 2017 with an increase of 35% against the previous year. The level of export peaked at $X in 2018; however, from 2019 to 2021, the exports remained at a lower figure.
Exports by Country
Turkey prevails in exports structure, resulting at X units, which was approx. 82% of total exports in 2021. The United Arab Emirates (X units) ranks second in terms of the total exports with a 9.3% share, followed by Israel (5.1%).
From 2012 to 2021, average annual rates of growth with regard to manostat exports from Turkey stood at +14.5%. At the same time, Israel (+27.7%) and the United Arab Emirates (+7.6%) displayed positive paces of growth. Moreover, Israel emerged as the fastest-growing exporter exported in MENA, with a CAGR of +27.7% from 2012-2021. While the share of Turkey (+27 p.p.) and Israel (+3.8 p.p.) increased significantly in terms of the total exports from 2012-2021, the share of the United Arab Emirates (-1.6 p.p.) displayed negative dynamics.
In value terms, Turkey ($X) remains the largest manostat supplier in MENA, comprising 76% of total exports. The second position in the ranking was taken by the United Arab Emirates ($X), with a 10% share of total exports.
In Turkey, manostat exports expanded at an average annual rate of +14.4% over the period from 2012-2021. The remaining exporting countries recorded the following average annual rates of exports growth: the United Arab Emirates (-3.2% per year) and Israel (+19.3% per year).
Export Prices by Country
The export price in MENA stood at $X per unit in 2021, increasing by 15% against the previous year. Over the period under review, the export price, however, saw a abrupt curtailment. The level of export peaked at $X per unit in 2013; however, from 2014 to 2021, the export prices failed to regain momentum.
There were significant differences in the average prices amongst the major exporting countries. In 2021, the country with the highest price was Israel ($X per unit), while Turkey ($X per unit) was amongst the lowest.
From 2012 to 2021, the most notable rate of growth in terms of prices was attained by Turkey (-0.1%), while the other leaders experienced a decline in the export price figures.

Imports in MENA
In 2021, overseas purchases of manostats increased by 29% to X units, rising for the second consecutive year after two years of decline. Total imports indicated resilient growth from 2012 to 2021: its volume increased at an average annual rate of +6.5% over the last nine-year period. The trend pattern, however, indicated some noticeable fluctuations being recorded throughout the analyzed period. Based on 2021 figures, imports increased by +44.7% against 2019 indices. The pace of growth appeared the most rapid in 2017 when imports increased by 41%. Over the period under review, imports attained the maximum in 2021 and are expected to retain growth in years to come.
In value terms, manostat imports rose rapidly to $X in 2021. Overall, imports, however, showed a relatively flat trend pattern. The pace of growth appeared the most rapid in 2014 when imports increased by 11% against the previous year. As a result, imports attained the peak of $X. From 2015 to 2021, the growth of imports failed to regain momentum.
Imports by Country
Turkey prevails in imports structure, reaching X units, which was near 84% of total imports in 2021. The following importers - the United Arab Emirates (X units) and Israel (X units) - each finished at a 6.4% share of total imports.
Turkey was also the fastest-growing in terms of the manostats imports, with a CAGR of +10.0% from 2012 to 2021. At the same time, Israel (+2.5%) displayed positive paces of growth. By contrast, the United Arab Emirates (-2.2%) illustrated a downward trend over the same period. Turkey (+21 p.p.) significantly strengthened its position in terms of the total imports, while the United Arab Emirates saw its share reduced by -4% from 2012 to 2021, respectively. The shares of the other countries remained relatively stable throughout the analyzed period.
In value terms, Turkey ($X) constitutes the largest market for imported manostats in MENA, comprising 39% of total imports. The second position in the ranking was taken by the United Arab Emirates ($X), with a 13% share of total imports.
From 2012 to 2021, the average annual growth rate of value in Turkey amounted to +4.9%. The remaining importing countries recorded the following average annual rates of imports growth: the United Arab Emirates (-1.3% per year) and Israel (+6.1% per year).
Import Prices by Country
In 2021, the import price in MENA amounted to $X per unit, shrinking by -17% against the previous year. In general, the import price showed a deep setback. The most prominent rate of growth was recorded in 2014 when the import price increased by 27%. As a result, import price reached the peak level of $X per unit. From 2015 to 2021, the import prices failed to regain momentum.
There were significant differences in the average prices amongst the major importing countries. In 2021, the country with the highest price was Israel ($X per unit), while Turkey ($X per unit) was amongst the lowest.
