Exports in MENA

After seven years of growth, shipments abroad of camel meat decreased by X% to X tons in 2022. Overall, exports, however, enjoyed significant growth. The pace of growth appeared the most rapid in 2015 with an increase of X% against the previous year. Over the period under review, the exports hit record highs at X tons in 2021, and then shrank significantly in the following year.

In value terms, camel meat exports shrank dramatically to $X in 2022. In general, exports, however, posted a significant increase. The pace of growth was the most pronounced in 2018 when exports increased by X% against the previous year. The level of export peaked at $X in 2021, and then reduced notably in the following year.

The United Arab Emirates dominates exports structure, recording X tons, which was near X% of total exports in 2022. It was distantly followed by Kuwait (X tons), creating an X% share of total exports. Saudi Arabia (X tons) held a minor share of total exports.
