Exports from Malaysia

In 2021, overseas shipments of composition leather decreased by -10.4% to X square meters, falling for the fifth year in a row after five years of growth. Over the period under review, exports recorded a abrupt descent. The growth pace was the most rapid in 2013 when exports increased by 50%. Over the period under review, the exports reached the maximum at X square meters in 2016; however, from 2017 to 2021, the exports remained at a lower figure.

In value terms, composition leather exports declined notably to $X in 2021. Overall, exports recorded a abrupt descent.
