From 2007 to 2018, the average annual growth rate of value to Japan totaled -X%. Exports to the other major destinations recorded the following average annual rates of exports growth: the United Arab Emirates (-X% per year) and Singapore (+X% per year).

Over the period under review, canned pineapple imports attained their maximum at X tonnes in 2017, and then declined slightly in the following year.

The growth pace was the most rapid in 2015 with an increase of X% y-o-y. Over the period under review, canned pineapple imports reached their peak figure at $X in 2017, and then declined slightly in the following year.

In 2018, Thailand (X tonnes) constituted the largest canned pineapple supplier to Malaysia, with a X% share of total imports. Moreover, canned pineapple imports from Thailand exceeded the figures recorded by the second-largest supplier, the Philippines (X tonnes), more than tenfold. China (X tonnes) ranked third in terms of total imports with a X% share.
