Over the period under review, cement plate imports, however, continue to indicate a strong increase. The most prominent rate of growth was recorded in 2016 with an increase of X% y-o-y. In that year, cement plate imports attained their peak of X tonnes. From 2017 to 2018, the growth of cement plate imports failed to regain its momentum.

In value terms, cement plate imports amounted to $X in 2018. Overall, cement plate imports, however, continue to indicate a resilient increase. The pace of growth appeared the most rapid in 2011 with an increase of X% year-to-year. Over the period under review, cement plate imports reached their peak figure in 2018 and are likely to see steady growth in the near future.

The countries with the highest levels of cement plate imports in 2018 were the Netherlands (X tonnes), India (X tonnes), the U.S. (X tonnes), Germany (X tonnes) and Belgium (X tonnes), together reaching X% of total import. China (X tonnes), South Korea (X tonnes), the Czech Republic (X tonnes), France (X tonnes), Taiwan, Chinese (X tonnes), Spain (X tonnes) and Italy (X tonnes) followed a long way behind the leaders.
