Exports in Latin America and the Caribbean

For the sixth year in a row, LatAmerica and the Caribbean recorded growth in shipments abroad of sweet biscuits, which increased by X% to X tons in 2022. Overall, exports recorded a buoyant expansion. The pace of growth was the most pronounced in 2021 when exports increased by X%. Over the period under review, the exports reached the maximum in 2022 and are likely to see steady growth in the immediate term.

In value terms, sweet biscuit exports soared to $X in 2022. In general, exports continue to indicate a prominent increase. As a result, the exports reached the peak and are likely to continue growth in the immediate term.

Exports by Country

Mexico prevails in exports structure, reaching X tons, which was near X% of total exports in 2022. Brazil (X tons) held the second position in the ranking, followed by Peru (X tons) and Guatemala (X tons). All these countries together took near X% share of total exports. The following exporters - Costa Rica (X tons), Argentina (X tons) and Colombia (X tons) - together made up X% of total exports.

Mexico was also the fastest-growing in terms of the sweet biscuits exports, with a CAGR of X% from 2012 to 2022. At the same time, Peru (X%), Guatemala (X%), Colombia (X%), Brazil (X%) and Costa Rica (X%) displayed positive paces of growth. By contrast, Argentina (X%) illustrated a downward trend over the same period. From 2012 to 2022, the share of Mexico increased by X percentage points. The shares of the other countries remained relatively stable throughout the analyzed period.
