In value terms, stamping foil exports fell notably to $X in 2023. Overall, exports recorded a mild slump. The growth pace was the most rapid in 2020 when exports increased by X% against the previous year. As a result, the exports reached the peak of $X. Brazil was the largest exporter of stamping foils in Latin America and the Caribbean, with the volume of exports accounting for X tons, which was near X% of total exports in 2023. It was distantly followed by Mexico (X tons), Chile (X tons) and El Salvador (X tons), together creating a X% share of total exports. Argentina (X tons) followed a long way behind the leaders.

Brazil was also the fastest-growing in terms of the stamping foils exports, with a CAGR of X% from 2012 to 2023. At the same time, Argentina (X%) and El Salvador (X%) displayed positive paces of growth. By contrast, Mexico (X%) and Chile (X%) illustrated a downward trend over the same period. Prices varied noticeably by country of origin: amid the top suppliers, the country with the highest price was Argentina ($X per ton), while Mexico ($X per ton) was amongst the lowest.

From 2012 to 2023, the most notable rate of growth in terms of prices was attained by El Salvador (X%), while the other leaders experienced a decline in the export price figures.

Imports in Latin America and the Caribbean

After two years of growth, supplies from abroad of stamping foils decreased by X% to X tons in 2023. Over the period under review, imports saw a relatively flat trend pattern. The pace of growth appeared the most rapid in 2017 with an increase of X%. As a result, imports attained the peak of X tons. From 2018 to 2023, the growth of imports remained at a somewhat lower figure.

In value terms, stamping foil imports declined dramatically to $X in 2023. Overall, imports showed a slight reduction. The growth pace was the most rapid in 2021 with an increase of X%. The level of import peaked at $X in 2017; however, from 2018 to 2023, imports stood at a somewhat lower figure.

Imports by Country

In 2023, Brazil (X tons) represented the largest importer of stamping foils, achieving X% of total imports. Mexico (X tons) took the second position in the ranking, distantly followed by Argentina (X tons) and Chile (X tons). All these countries together held near X% share of total imports.
