Exports in Latin America and the Caribbean

In 2022, the amount of propellant powders exported in Latin America and the Caribbean surged to X tons, picking up by X% compared with the previous year's figure. Over the period under review, exports, however, showed a pronounced decline. The most prominent rate of growth was recorded in 2014 when exports increased by X%. Over the period under review, the exports attained the peak figure at X tons in 2012; however, from 2013 to 2022, the exports failed to regain momentum.

In value terms, propellant powders exports soared to $X in 2022. Overall, exports, however, continue to indicate a perceptible curtailment. From 2015 to 2022, the growth of the exports remained at a lower figure.

Chile represented the key exporting country with an export of around X tons, which amounted to X% of total exports. Peru (X tons) took the second position in the ranking, followed by Bolivia (X tons), El Salvador (X tons), Guatemala (X tons) and Argentina (X tons). All these countries together held near X% share of total exports. Costa Rica (X tons) took a relatively small share of total exports.

From 2012 to 2022, average annual rates of growth with regard to propellant powders exports from Chile stood at X%. At the same time, El Salvador (X%) and Argentina (X%) displayed positive paces of growth. Moreover, El Salvador emerged as the fastest-growing exporter exported in Latin America and the Caribbean, with a CAGR of X% from 2012-2022. Bolivia experienced a relatively flat trend pattern. By contrast, Guatemala (X%), Costa Rica (X%) and Peru (X%) illustrated a downward trend over the same period. Imports in Latin America and the Caribbean

In 2022, purchases abroad of propellant powders increased by X% to X tons, rising for the fifth consecutive year after two years of decline. Overall, imports saw a prominent increase. The pace of growth was the most pronounced in 2020 when imports increased by X%. Over the period under review, imports reached the peak figure in 2022 and are expected to retain growth in years to come.

In value terms, propellant powders imports skyrocketed to $X in 2022. Over the period under review, imports recorded buoyant growth. As a result, imports reached the peak and are likely to continue growth in the immediate term.
