Particle Board Exports

Exports in Latin America and the Caribbean

In 2022, overseas shipments of particle board decreased by X% to X cubic meters for the first time since 2019, thus ending a two-year rising trend. In general, exports, however, enjoyed a buoyant expansion. The growth pace was the most rapid in 2016 when exports increased by X% against the previous year. Over the period under review, the exports hit record highs at X cubic meters in 2021, and then contracted in the following year.

In value terms, particle board exports skyrocketed to $X in 2022. Over the period under review, exports, however, recorded a buoyant expansion. The pace of growth appeared the most rapid in 2021 when exports increased by X% against the previous year. The level of export peaked in 2022 and is likely to continue growth in years to come.

Exports by Country

Brazil (X cubic meters) and Ecuador (X cubic meters) represented roughly X% of total exports in 2022. It was distantly followed by Chile (X cubic meters), constituting a X% share of total exports. Mexico (X cubic meters) and Argentina (X cubic meters) held a minor share of total exports.

From 2012 to 2022, the biggest increases were recorded for Brazil (with a CAGR of X%), while shipments for the other leaders experienced more modest paces of growth.

In value terms, Ecuador ($X), Brazil ($X) and Chile ($X) appeared to be the countries with the highest levels of exports in 2022, with a combined X% share of total exports.
