Exports in Latin America and the Caribbean

In 2022, shipments abroad of nonwoven fabrics decreased by X% to X tons, falling for the second year in a row after two years of growth. Over the period under review, exports recorded a noticeable downturn. The pace of growth appeared the most rapid in 2017 with an increase of X% against the previous year. Over the period under review, the exports attained the maximum at X tons in 2013; however, from 2014 to 2022, the exports remained at a lower figure.

In value terms, nonwoven fabric exports stood at $X in 2022. Overall, exports saw a slight decline. The pace of growth was the most pronounced in 2017 with an increase of X%. The level of export peaked at $X in 2013; however, from 2014 to 2022, the exports failed to regain momentum.

In 2022, Brazil (X tons) and Mexico (X tons) represented the major exporters of nonwoven fabrics in Latin America and the Caribbean, together mixing up X% of total exports.
