In 2018, approx. X tonnes of frozen unconcentrated orange juice were exported in Latin America and the Caribbean; approximately reflecting the previous year. Over the period under review, frozen orange juice exports continue to indicate a noticeable reduction. The most prominent rate of growth was recorded in 2011 with an increase of X% year-to-year. The volume of exports peaked at X tonnes in 2007; however, from 2008 to 2018, exports stood at a somewhat lower figure.

In value terms, frozen orange juice exports amounted to $X in 2018. Overall, frozen orange juice exports continue to indicate a mild curtailment. The most prominent rate of growth was recorded in 2011 with an increase of X% y-o-y. Over the period under review, frozen orange juice exports attained their peak figure at $X in 2007; however, from 2008 to 2018, exports stood at a somewhat lower figure.

Exports by Country

Brazil was the main exporter of frozen unconcentrated orange juice in Latin America and the Caribbean, with the volume of exports recording X tonnes, which was approx. X% of total exports in 2018. It was distantly followed by Mexico (X tonnes), creating a X% share of total exports. Belize (X tonnes) and Costa Rica (X tonnes) followed a long way behind the leaders.

From 2007 to 2018, average annual rates of growth with regard to frozen orange juice exports from Brazil stood at -X%. At the same time, Costa Rica (+X%) and Mexico (+X%) displayed positive paces of growth. Moreover, Costa Rica emerged as the fastest-growing exporter in Latin America and the Caribbean, with a CAGR of +X% from 2007-2018. Belize experienced a relatively flat trend pattern. Mexico (+X p.p.) and Costa Rica (+X p.p.) significantly strengthened its position in terms of the total exports, while Brazil saw its share reduced by -X% from 2007 to 2018, respectively. The frozen orange juice export price in Latin America and the Caribbean stood at $X per tonne in 2018, going up by X% against the previous year. The export price indicated a temperate increase from 2007 to 2018: its price increased at an average annual rate of +X% over the last eleven years. The trend pattern, however, indicated some noticeable fluctuations being recorded throughout the analyzed period. Based on 2018 figures, frozen orange juice export price increased by +X% against 2014 indices. The pace of growth was the most pronounced in 2014 an increase of X% against the previous year. The level of export price peaked in 2018 and is likely to continue its growth in the immediate term.

Prices varied noticeably by the country of origin; the country with the highest price was Mexico ($X per tonne), while Belize ($X per tonne) was amongst the lowest.

The total imports indicated measured growth from 2007 to 2018: its volume increased at an average annual rate of +X% over the last eleven years. The trend pattern, however, indicated some noticeable fluctuations being recorded throughout the analyzed period. Based on 2018 figures, frozen orange juice imports decreased by -X% against 2016 indices. The pace of growth was the most pronounced in 2010 with an increase of X% year-to-year. The volume of imports peaked at X tonnes in 2016; however, from 2017 to 2018, imports failed to regain their momentum.

In value terms, frozen orange juice imports totaled $X in 2018. The total imports indicated a measured increase from 2007 to 2018: its value increased at an average annual rate of +X% over the last eleven-year period. The trend pattern, however, indicated some noticeable fluctuations being recorded throughout the analyzed period. Based on 2018 figures, frozen orange juice imports increased by +X% against 2013 indices. The most prominent rate of growth was recorded in 2010 when imports increased by X% y-o-y. Over the period under review, frozen orange juice imports reached their maximum at $X in 2017, and then declined slightly in the following year.

Jamaica (X tonnes), Chile (X tonnes), the Dominican Republic (X tonnes), Trinidad and Tobago (X tonnes) and Argentina (X tonnes) represented roughly X% of total imports of frozen unconcentrated orange juice in 2018. Import Prices by Country

In 2018, the frozen orange juice import price in Latin America and the Caribbean amounted to $X per tonne, surging by X% against the previous year. Overall, the frozen orange juice import price continues to indicate a relatively flat trend pattern. The most prominent rate of growth was recorded in 2011 an increase of X% y-o-y. Over the period under review, the import prices for frozen unconcentrated orange juice attained their maximum at $X per tonne in 2012; however, from 2013 to 2018, import prices remained at a lower figure.

There were significant differences in the average prices amongst the major importing countries. In 2018, the country with the highest price was Venezuela ($X per tonne), while Guyana ($X per tonne) was amongst the lowest.
