Over the period under review, exports, however, showed a relatively flat trend pattern. The most prominent rate of growth was recorded in 2018 with an increase of X% against the previous year. The volume of export peaked at X tons in 2020; however, from 2021 to 2022, the exports stood at a somewhat lower figure.
In value terms, folding boxboard exports surged to $X in 2022. Overall, exports saw a relatively flat trend pattern. Over the period under review, the exports hit record highs at $X in 2012; however, from 2013 to 2022, the exports remained at a lower figure.

Chile represented the major exporter of folding boxboard in Latin America and the Caribbean, with the volume of exports amounting to X tons, which was near X% of total exports in 2022. Brazil (X tons) ranks second in terms of the total exports with a X% share, followed by Mexico (X%) and Paraguay (X%). Argentina (X tons), Guatemala (X tons) and Panama (X tons) took a relatively small share of total exports.
From 2012 to 2022, average annual rates of growth with regard to folding boxboard exports from Chile stood at X%. Over the period under review, the export price, however, showed a mild decline. The level of export peaked at $X per ton in 2014; however, from 2015 to 2022, the export prices remained at a lower figure.
There were significant differences in the average prices amongst the major exporting countries. In 2022, amid the top suppliers, the country with the highest price was Argentina ($X per ton), while Paraguay ($X per ton) was amongst the lowest.
