Capacitor Exports

Exports in Latin America and the Caribbean

In 2022, approx. X units of electrical capacitors were exported in Latin America and the Caribbean; surging by X% compared with 2021. In general, exports, however, showed a perceptible contraction. The most prominent rate of growth was recorded in 2014 with an increase of X% against the previous year. As a result, the exports reached the peak of X units. From 2015 to 2022, the growth of the exports failed to regain momentum.

In value terms, capacitor exports rose slightly to $X in 2022. Over the period under review, exports continue to indicate a modest expansion. The pace of growth was the most pronounced in 2014 with an increase of X% against the previous year. As a result, the exports attained the peak of $X. From 2015 to 2022, the growth of the exports remained at a somewhat lower figure.

Exports by Country

Mexico prevails in exports structure, recording X units, which was approx. X% of total exports in 2022. It was distantly followed by El Salvador (X units), generating a X% share of total exports. Brazil (X units) followed a long way behind the leaders.

Exports from Mexico decreased at an average annual rate of X% from 2012 to 2022. At the same time, Brazil (X%) displayed positive paces of growth. Moreover, Brazil emerged as the fastest-growing exporter exported in Latin America and the Caribbean, with a CAGR of X% from 2012-2022. By contrast, El Salvador (X%) illustrated a downward trend over the same period. Mexico (X p.p.) significantly weakened its position in terms of the total exports, while the shares of the other countries remained relatively stable throughout the analyzed period.

In general, imports recorded a relatively flat trend pattern. The pace of growth was the most pronounced in 2013 with an increase of X% against the previous year. As a result, imports attained the peak of X units. From 2014 to 2022, the growth of imports failed to regain momentum.

In value terms, capacitor imports rose notably to $X in 2022. Total imports indicated prominent growth from 2012 to 2022: its value increased at an average annual rate of X% over the last decade.
