At the same time, Panama (+X%), Chile (+X%) and Argentina (+X%) displayed positive paces of growth. Moreover, Panama emerged as the fastest growing importer in Latin America and the Caribbean, with a CAGR of +X% from 2007-2017. By contrast, Mexico (-X%) and Costa Rica (-X%) illustrated a downward trend over the same period. Mexico (X%) significantly strengthened its position in terms of the global imports, while Panama, Argentina and Brazil saw its share reduced by -X%, -X% and -X% from 2007 to 2017, respectively. In value terms, Brazil ($X), Mexico ($X) and Argentina ($X) constituted the countries with the highest levels of imports in 2017, with a combined X% share of total imports. Chile, Panama and Costa Rica lagged somewhat behind, together accounting for a further X%.

Panama (+X% per year) recorded the highest growth rate of imports, among the main importing countries over the last decade, while the other leaders experienced more modest paces of growth.

The domestic electric oven import price continues to indicate a relatively flat trend pattern. The most prominent rate of growth was recorded in 2012, when it surged by X% year-to-year. The level of import price peaked of $X per unit in 2015; however, from 2016 to 2017, it failed to regain its momentum.

There were significant differences in the average import prices amongst the major importing countries. In 2017, the country with the highest import price was Chile ($X per unit), while Brazil ($X per thousand units) was amongst the lowest.
