In value terms, sour cherry exports contracted remarkably to $X in 2022. In general, exports recorded a deep downturn. The most prominent rate of growth was recorded in 2021 with an increase of X%. As a result, the exports attained the peak of $X, and then shrank remarkably in the following year.

The shipments of the one major exporters of sour cherries, namely Chile, represented more than two-thirds of total export.
Chile was also the fastest-growing in terms of the sour cherries exports, with a CAGR of X% from 2012 to 2022. Chile (X p.p.) significantly strengthened its position in terms of the total exports, while the shares of the other countries remained relatively stable throughout the analyzed period.

As a result, imports reached the peak of X tons. From 2019 to 2022, the growth of imports remained at a somewhat lower figure.
In value terms, sour cherry imports dropped to $X in 2022. Overall, imports, however, saw a abrupt curtailment. The level of import peaked at $X in 2013; however, from 2014 to 2022, imports remained at a lower figure.
Imports by Country
Mexico prevails in imports structure, accounting for X tons, which was near X% of total imports in 2022. It was distantly followed by Argentina (X tons), comprising a X% share of total imports. Panama (X tons), Guyana (X tons), Guatemala (X tons), Barbados (X tons) and Paraguay (X tons) took a minor share of total imports.
Imports into Mexico decreased at an average annual rate of X% from 2012 to 2022. At the same time, Barbados (X%), Guyana (X%), Paraguay (X%), Guatemala (X%), Panama (X%) and Argentina (X%) displayed positive paces of growth. Moreover, Barbados emerged as the fastest-growing importer imported in Latin America and the Caribbean, with a CAGR of X% from 2012-2022. While the share of Mexico (X p.p.), Panama (X p.p.), Guyana (X p.p.), Argentina (X p.p.), Guatemala (X p.p.), Barbados (X p.p.) and Paraguay (X p.p.) increased significantly, the shares of the other countries remained relatively stable throughout the analyzed period.
In value terms, Mexico ($X) constitutes the largest market for imported sour cherries in Latin America and the Caribbean, comprising X% of total imports. The second position in the ranking was taken by Panama ($X), with an X% share of total imports. It was followed by Guatemala, with a X% share.
From 2012 to 2022, the average annual rate of growth in terms of value in Mexico stood at X%. In the other countries, the average annual rates were as follows: Panama (X% per year) and Guatemala (X% per year).
