Exports in Latin America and the Caribbean

In 2022, approx. X units of brassieres were exported in Latin America and the Caribbean; with a decrease of X% compared with the year before. In general, exports saw a abrupt shrinkage. The most prominent rate of growth was recorded in 2021 when exports increased by X%. Over the period under review, the exports attained the peak figure at X units in 2014; however, from 2015 to 2022, the exports stood at a somewhat lower figure.

In value terms, brassiere exports dropped slightly to $X in 2022. Overall, exports continue to indicate a noticeable reduction. The growth pace was the most rapid in 2021 with an increase of X% against the previous year. Over the period under review, the exports attained the peak figure at $X in 2014; however, from 2015 to 2022, the exports failed to regain momentum.

Honduras was the largest exporter of brassieres in Latin America and the Caribbean, with the volume of exports amounting to X units, which was approx. X% of total exports in 2022. El Salvador (X units) held a X% share (based on physical terms) of total exports, which put it in second place, followed by Mexico (X%), the Dominican Republic (X%) and Colombia (X%).
