Over the period under review, the exports attained the maximum at $X in 2013; however, from 2014 to 2021, the exports stood at a somewhat lower figure.
Exports by Country
Saudi Arabia (X cubic meters) was the main destination for particle board exports from Kuwait, accounting for a X% share of total exports. Moreover, particle board exports to Saudi Arabia exceeded the volume sent to the second major destination, the United Arab Emirates (X cubic meters), fourfold.
From 2012 to 2021, the average annual rate of growth in terms of volume to Saudi Arabia amounted to +X%. Exports to the other major destinations recorded the following average annual rates of exports growth: the United Arab Emirates (+X% per year) and Bahrain (+X% per year).
In value terms, Saudi Arabia ($X), the United Arab Emirates ($X) and Bahrain ($X) appeared to be the largest markets for particle board exported from Kuwait worldwide, with a combined X% share of total exports.
Among the main countries of destination, the United Arab Emirates, with a CAGR of +X%, recorded the highest growth rate of the value of exports, over the period under review, while shipments for the other leaders experienced more modest paces of growth.
Export Prices by Country
The average particle board export price stood at $X per cubic meter in 2021, rising by X% against the previous year. Over the period under review, the export price, however, showed a abrupt downturn. The most prominent rate of growth was recorded in 2014 when the average export price increased by X%. The export price peaked at $X per cubic meter in 2016; however, from 2017 to 2021, the export prices failed to regain momentum.
Prices varied noticeably by the country of destination: the country with the highest price was the United Arab Emirates ($X per cubic meter), while the average price for exports to Saudi Arabia ($X per cubic meter) was amongst the lowest.
From 2012 to 2021, the most notable rate of growth in terms of prices was recorded for supplies to Bahrain (-X%), while the prices for the other major destinations experienced a decline.

Imports into Kuwait
After four years of growth, supplies from abroad of particle boards decreased by -X% to X cubic meters in 2021. In general, imports, however, enjoyed a remarkable increase. The growth pace was the most rapid in 2018 when imports increased by X%. Over the period under review, imports reached the maximum at X cubic meters in 2020, and then fell in the following year.
In value terms, particle board imports declined modestly to $X in 2021. Over the period under review, imports, however, enjoyed a buoyant increase. The pace of growth was the most pronounced in 2018 with an increase of X%. Over the period under review, imports hit record highs at $X in 2020, and then reduced in the following year.
Imports by Country
Romania (X cubic meters), Germany (X cubic meters) and Italy (X cubic meters) were the main suppliers of particle board imports to Kuwait, with a combined X% share of total imports. Spain, Austria, Belgium and the United Arab Emirates lagged somewhat behind, together accounting for a further X 2012 to 2021, the most notable rate of growth in terms of purchases, amongst the main suppliers, was attained by the United Arab Emirates (with a CAGR of +X%), while imports for the other leaders experienced more modest paces of growth.
In value terms, Romania ($X) constituted the largest supplier of particle board to Kuwait, comprising X% of total imports. The second position in the ranking was taken by Spain ($X), with a X% share of total imports. It was followed by Italy, with a X% share.
From 2012 to 2021, the average annual growth rate of value from Romania stood at +X%. The remaining supplying countries recorded the following average annual rates of imports growth: Spain (+X% per year) and Italy (+X% per year).
Import Prices by Country
The average particle board import price stood at $X per cubic meter in 2021, picking up by X% against the previous year. In general, the import price recorded a relatively flat trend pattern. The pace of growth appeared the most rapid in 2014 when the average import price increased by X%. The import price peaked at $X per cubic meter in 2016; however, from 2017 to 2021, import prices remained at a lower figure.
There were significant differences in the average prices amongst the major supplying countries. In 2021, the country with the highest price was the United Arab Emirates ($X per cubic meter), while the price for Germany ($X per cubic meter) was amongst the lowest.
