Exports from Japan

In 2022, overseas shipments of tulles and other net fabrics increased by X% to X tons, rising for the second year in a row after two years of decline. In general, exports, however, continue to indicate a abrupt descent. Over the period under review, the exports hit record highs at X tons in 2012; however, from 2013 to 2022, the exports remained at a lower figure.

In value terms, net fabric exports amounted to $X in 2022. Overall, exports, however, showed a abrupt decline. The most prominent rate of growth was recorded in 2014 when exports increased by X% against the previous year. Over the period under review, the exports hit record highs at $X in 2012; however, from 2013 to 2022, the exports stood at a somewhat lower figure.

China (X tons) was the main destination for net fabric exports from Japan, with a X% share of total exports. Moreover, net fabric exports to China exceeded the volume sent to the second major destination, Vietnam (X tons), threefold.
