Tomato Market Size in Italy

In value terms, tomato exports stood at $X in 2018. Over the period under review, tomato exports, however, continue to indicate a perceptible setback. The pace of growth was the most pronounced in 2010 when exports increased by X% year-to-year. In that year, tomato exports attained their peak of $X. From 2011 to 2018, the growth of tomato exports remained at a lower figure.

Germany (X tonnes), Austria (X tonnes) and Switzerland (X tonnes) were the main destinations of tomato exports from Italy, together accounting for X% of total exports. The UK, France, Romania, the Czech Republic, Denmark, Slovenia, Croatia, the Netherlands and Poland lagged somewhat behind, together accounting for a further X 2007 to 2018, the most notable rate of growth in terms of exports, amongst the main countries of destination, was attained by the Czech Republic, while exports for the other leaders experienced more modest paces of growth.
