In value terms, sulphur exports shrank notably to $X in 2020. In general, exports recorded a sharp descent. The pace of growth appeared the most rapid in 2014 when exports increased by X% year-to-year. As a result, exports reached the peak of $X. from 2015 to 2020, the growth exports remained at a lower figure.
Exports by Country
Romania (X tonnes), Sweden (X tonnes) and Croatia (X tonnes) were the main destinations of sulphur exports from Italy, together comprising X% of total exports. Slovenia, the UK, Australia and Greece lagged somewhat behind, together comprising a further X 2007 to 2020, the most notable rate of growth in terms of shipments, amongst the main countries of destination, was attained by Slovenia, while exports for the other leaders experienced more modest paces of growth.
In value terms, the largest markets for sulphur exported from Italy were Sweden ($X), Romania ($X) and Australia ($X), together comprising X% of total exports.

In 2020, the average sulphur export price amounted to $X per tonne, rising by X% against the previous year. In general, the export price posted a strong increase. The most prominent rate of growth was recorded in 2008 an increase of X% against the previous year. As a result, export price reached the peak level of $X per tonne. from 2009 to 2020, the growth in terms of the average export prices remained at a somewhat lower figure.
There were significant differences in the average prices for the major foreign markets. In 2020, the country with the highest price was Australia ($X per tonne), while the average price for exports to Croatia ($X per tonne) was amongst the lowest.
From 2007 to 2020, the most notable rate of growth in terms of prices was recorded for supplies to Sweden, while the prices for the other major destinations experienced more modest paces of growth.

The most prominent rate of growth was recorded in 2015 when imports increased by X% against the previous year. As a result, imports reached the peak of X tonnes. from 2016 to 2020, the growth imports remained at a lower figure.
In value terms, sulphur imports shrank remarkably to $X in 2020. Over the period under review, imports saw a slight curtailment. The most prominent rate of growth was recorded in 2008 when imports increased by X% against the previous year. India (X tonnes), Slovakia (X tonnes) and Germany (X tonnes) were the main suppliers of sulphur imports to Italy, with a combined X% share of total imports.
From 2007 to 2020, the most notable rate of growth in terms of purchases, amongst the main suppliers, was attained by Slovakia, while imports for the other leaders experienced mixed trend patterns.
In value terms, India ($X) constituted the largest supplier of sulphur to Italy, comprising X% of total imports. The second position in the ranking was occupied by Slovakia ($X), with a X% share of total imports.
From 2007 to 2020, the average annual rate of growth in terms of value from India stood at +X%. The remaining supplying countries recorded the following average annual rates of imports growth: Slovakia (+X% per year) and Germany (+X% per year).

In 2020, the average sulphur import price amounted to $X per tonne, falling by -X% against the previous year. Over the period under review, the import price, however, saw a mild expansion. The pace of growth appeared the most rapid in 2017 an increase of X% year-to-year. The import price peaked at $X per tonne in 2018; however, from 2019 to 2020, import prices stood at a somewhat lower figure.
Prices varied noticeably by the country of origin; the country with the highest price was India ($X per tonne), while the price for Germany ($X per tonne) was amongst the lowest.
