Newsprint Exports

Exports from Italy

In 2022, after two years of growth, there was significant decline in shipments abroad of newsprint, when their volume decreased by X% to X tons. Overall, exports continue to indicate a relatively flat trend pattern. The most prominent rate of growth was recorded in 2016 with an increase of X% against the previous year. Over the period under review, the exports hit record highs at X tons in 2021, and then shrank in the following year.

In value terms, newsprint exports soared to $X in 2022. In general, exports, however, recorded a resilient expansion. The most prominent rate of growth was recorded in 2021 with an increase of X%. The exports peaked in 2022 and are likely to continue growth in the near future.

Exports by Country

Austria (X tons), France (X tons) and Romania (X tons) were the main destinations of newsprint exports from Italy, together comprising X% of total exports. Morocco, the Dominican Republic, Malta, Belgium, Slovenia, Tunisia and Greece lagged somewhat behind, together comprising a further X%.
