For the third consecutive year, Italy recorded growth in shipments abroad of horse, mule and donkey meat, which increased by X% to X tons in 2022. Overall, exports enjoyed perceptible growth. The pace of growth appeared the most rapid in 2020 with an increase of X% against the previous year. The exports peaked in 2022 and are likely to continue growth in years to come.

In value terms, horse, mule and donkey meat exports reached $X in 2022. In general, exports recorded a tangible increase.
