Canary Seed Market Size in Italy

The revenue of the canary seed market in Italy amounted to $X in 2018, surging by X% against the previous year. These countries were followed by Bosnia and Herzegovina, Egypt, Greece and France, which together accounted for a further X 2007 to 2018, the most notable rate of growth in terms of exports, amongst the main countries of destination, was attained by France (+X% per year), while the other leaders experienced more modest paces of growth.

The most prominent rate of growth was recorded in 2008 when the average export price increased by X% y-o-y. The export price peaked at $X per tonne in 2011; however, from 2012 to 2018, export prices failed to regain their momentum.

Prices varied noticeably by the country of destination; the country with the highest price was Croatia ($X per tonne), while the average price for exports to Egypt ($X per tonne) was amongst the lowest.

From 2007 to 2018, the most notable rate of growth in terms of prices was recorded for supplies to Egypt, while the prices for the other major destinations experienced a decline.

Imports into Italy

In 2018, the amount of canary seed imported into Italy stood at X tonnes, jumping by X% against the previous year. Over the period under review, the total imports indicated resilient growth from 2007 to 2018: its volume increased at an average annual rate of +X% over the last eleven years. The trend pattern, however, indicated some noticeable fluctuations being recorded throughout the analyzed period. Based on 2018 figures, canary seed imports increased by +X% against 2016 indices. The pace of growth was the most pronounced in 2010 with an increase of X% against the previous year. Imports peaked in 2018 and are expected to retain its growth in the immediate term.
