Coal Exports

Exports from Iraq

In 2022, shipments abroad of coal decreased by X% to X tons for the first time since 2018, thus ending a three-year rising trend. Over the period under review, exports, however, posted a measured expansion. The pace of growth was the most pronounced in 2021 with an increase of X%. As a result, the exports reached the peak of X tons, and then dropped modestly in the following year.

In value terms, coal exports totaled $X in 2022. In general, exports recorded a mild decrease. The exports peaked at $X in 2012; however, from 2013 to 2022, the exports remained at a lower figure.
