In value terms, unwrought zinc alloys exports soared to $X in 2021. In general, exports, however, continue to indicate a deep setback. Over the period under review, the exports attained the maximum at $X in 2018; however, from 2019 to 2021, the exports stood at a somewhat lower figure.
Exports by Country
Singapore (X tons) was the main destination for unwrought zinc alloys exports from Iran, accounting for a X% share of total exports. Moreover, unwrought zinc alloys exports to Singapore exceeded the volume sent to the second major destination, Iraq (X tons), more than tenfold. The third position in this ranking was occupied by India (X tons), with a X% share.
From 2012 to 2021, the average annual rate of growth in terms of volume to Singapore was relatively modest. Exports to the other major destinations recorded the following average annual rates of exports growth: Iraq (-X% per year) and India (-X% per year).
In value terms, Singapore ($X) remains the key foreign market for unwrought zinc alloys exports from Iran, comprising X% of total exports. The second position in the ranking was occupied by Iraq ($X), with a X% share of total exports. It was followed by Turkey, with a X% share.
From 2012 to 2021, the average annual growth rate of value to Singapore amounted to +X%. Exports to the other major destinations recorded the following average annual rates of exports growth: Iraq (-X% per year) and Turkey (-X% per year).
Export Prices by Country
The average unwrought zinc alloys export price stood at $X per ton in 2021, remaining constant against the previous year. Over the period under review, export price indicated a resilient expansion from 2012 to 2021: its price increased at an average annual rate of +X% over the last nine-year period. The trend pattern, however, indicated some noticeable fluctuations being recorded throughout the analyzed period. Based on 2021 figures, unwrought zinc alloys export price increased by +X% against 2012 indices. The pace of growth appeared the most rapid in 2018 an increase of X%. Imports into Iran
In 2021, the amount of unwrought zinc alloys imported into Iran fell markedly to X tons, with a decrease of -X% on the previous year. Over the period under review, imports recorded a drastic downturn. The most prominent rate of growth was recorded in 2020 when imports increased by X% against the previous year. Imports peaked at X tons in 2012; however, from 2013 to 2021, imports stood at a somewhat lower figure.
In value terms, unwrought zinc alloys imports shrank sharply to $X in 2021. Overall, imports showed a drastic downturn. The pace of growth was the most pronounced in 2020 when imports increased by X% against the previous year. Imports peaked at $X in 2012; however, from 2013 to 2021, imports stood at a somewhat lower figure.
Imports by Country
The United Arab Emirates (X tons), Italy (X tons) and Turkey (X tons) were the main suppliers of unwrought zinc alloys imports to Iran, with a combined X% share of total imports.
From 2012 to 2021, the biggest increases were in Turkey (with a CAGR of +X%), while purchases for the other leaders experienced a decline.
In value terms, Italy ($X), the United Arab Emirates ($X) and Turkey ($X) appeared to be the largest unwrought zinc alloys suppliers to Iran, together accounting for X% of total imports.

From 2012 to 2021, the most notable rate of growth in terms of prices was attained by Kazakhstan (+X%), while the prices for the other major suppliers experienced mixed trend patterns.
