Slovakia (X tons) was the main destination for playing cards exports from Iran, accounting for a X% share of total exports. Moreover, playing cards exports to Slovakia exceeded the volume sent to the second major destination, the Czech Republic (X tons), twofold.
From 2012 to 2021, the average annual rate of growth in terms of volume to Slovakia totaled +X%. Exports to the other major destinations recorded the following average annual rates of exports growth: the Czech Republic (+X% per year) and France (-X% per year).
In value terms, the largest markets for playing cards exported from Iran were Slovakia ($X), the Czech Republic ($X) and France ($X), together comprising X% of total exports.
In terms of the main countries of destination, Slovakia, with a CAGR of +X%, recorded the highest rates of growth with regard to the value of exports, over the period under review, while shipments for the other leaders experienced mixed trend patterns.

Over the period under review, imports, however, recorded a deep contraction. Imports peaked at X tons in 2018; however, from 2019 to 2021, imports failed to regain momentum.
In value terms, playing cards imports skyrocketed to $X in 2021. Overall, imports, however, showed a deep contraction. Over the period under review, imports attained the peak figure at $X in 2015; however, from 2016 to 2021, imports remained at a lower figure.
Imports by Country
In 2021, the United Arab Emirates (X tons) constituted the largest supplier of playing cards to Iran, accounting for a X% share of total imports. Moreover, playing cards imports from the United Arab Emirates exceeded the figures recorded by the second-largest supplier, China (X tons), fourfold.
From 2012 to 2021, the average annual growth rate of volume from the United Arab Emirates totaled -X%.
In value terms, China ($X) and the United Arab Emirates ($X) appeared to be the largest playing cards suppliers to Iran.
In terms of the main suppliers, the United Arab Emirates, with a CAGR of -X%, recorded the highest growth rate of the value of imports, over the period under review.
Import Prices by Country
In 2021, the average playing cards import price amounted to $X per ton, with an increase of X% against the previous year. Overall, the import price, however, showed a relatively flat trend pattern.
