The average scent spray export price stood at $X per tonne in 2018, reducing by -X% against the previous year. In general, the scent spray export price continues to indicate a slight slump. The pace of growth appeared the most rapid in 2011 when the average export price increased by X% against the previous year. Over the period under review, the average export prices for scent sprays reached their peak figure at $X per tonne in 2012; however, from 2013 to 2018, export prices failed to regain their momentum.

There were significant differences in the average prices for the major foreign markets. In 2018, the country with the highest price was China ($X per tonne), while the average price for exports to Ghana ($X per tonne) was amongst the lowest.

In general, scent spray imports, however, continue to indicate a prominent increase. The most prominent rate of growth was recorded in 2008 when imports increased by X% against the previous year. Over the period under review, scent spray imports reached their maximum at X tonnes in 2017, leveling off in the following year.

In value terms, scent spray imports totaled $X in 2018. Overall, scent spray imports, however, continue to indicate a remarkable expansion. The pace of growth appeared the most rapid in 2008 with an increase of X% y-o-y. Over the period under review, scent spray imports attained their peak figure in 2018 and are expected to retain its growth in the immediate term.

Imports by Country

In 2018, China (X tonnes) was the main scent spray supplier to Indonesia, with a X% share of total imports. Moreover, scent spray imports from China exceeded the figures recorded by the second-largest supplier, Thailand (X tonnes), more than tenfold.
