In value terms, propyl and isopropyl alcohol exports skyrocketed to $X in 2022. Over the period under review, exports continue to indicate a relatively flat trend pattern. The growth pace was the most rapid in 2020 when exports increased by 590%. The exports peaked at $X in 2014; however, from 2015 to 2022, the exports failed to regain momentum.

Pakistan (X tons), Vietnam (X tons) and Thailand (X tons) were the main destinations of propyl and isopropyl alcohol exports from Indonesia, with a combined 93% share of total exports.

From 2012 to 2022, the biggest increases were recorded for Vietnam (with a CAGR of +39.3%), while shipments for the other leaders experienced more modest paces of growth.

In value terms, Pakistan ($X) remains the key foreign market for propan-1-ol (propyl alcohol) and propan-2-ol (isopropyl alcohol) exports from Indonesia, comprising 61% of total exports. The second position in the ranking was held by Thailand ($X), with a 16% share of total exports. It was followed by Vietnam, with a 12% share.
