In value terms, photographic paper exports rose modestly to $X in 2021. Over the period under review, exports, however, showed a abrupt decrease. The most prominent rate of growth was recorded in 2013 when exports increased by 325%. The exports peaked at $X in 2016; however, from 2017 to 2021, the exports remained at a lower figure.

Exports by Country

Timor-Leste (X square meters), Singapore (X square meters) and Malaysia (X square meters) were the main destinations of photographic paper exports from Indonesia, with a combined 84% share of total exports.

From 2012 to 2021, the biggest increases were recorded for Malaysia (with a CAGR of +68.1%), while shipments for the other leaders experienced more modest paces of growth.

In value terms, Singapore ($X) emerged as the key foreign market for photographic paper, paperboard and textiles exports from Indonesia, comprising 47% of total exports. Imports into Indonesia

In 2021, overseas purchases of photographic paper, paperboard and textiles were finally on the rise to reach X square meters after four years of decline. Overall, imports, however, faced a deep setback. Imports peaked at X square meters in 2012; however, from 2013 to 2021, imports remained at a lower figure.

The third position in this ranking was taken by Hong Kong SAR (X square meters), with a 4.8% share.

Overall, import price indicated temperate growth from 2012 to 2021: its price increased at an average annual rate of +3.5% over the last nine years. The trend pattern, however, indicated some noticeable fluctuations being recorded throughout the analyzed period.
