The United Arab Emirates, Sri Lanka, Nigeria, South Korea, Afghanistan, Bangladesh, Bhutan, Yemen and Kuwait lagged somewhat behind, together comprising a further X 2007 to 2018, the most notable rate of growth in terms of exports, amongst the main countries of destination, was attained by South Korea (+X% per year), while the other leaders experienced more modest paces of growth.

In value terms, the largest markets for orange juice exported from India were the United Arab Emirates ($X), Sri Lanka ($X) and Myanmar ($X), with a combined X% share of total exports. These countries were followed by Iraq, Bhutan, South Korea, Nigeria, Afghanistan, Kuwait, Bangladesh, Niger and Yemen, which together accounted for a further X Korea experienced the highest growth rate of exports, among the main countries of destination over the last eleven-year period, while the other leaders experienced more modest paces of growth.

The export price peaked at $X per tonne in 2016; however, from 2017 to 2018, export prices stood at a somewhat lower figure.

Prices varied noticeably by the country of destination; the country with the highest price was the United Arab Emirates ($X per tonne), while the average price for exports to Niger ($X per tonne) was amongst the lowest.

From 2007 to 2018, the most notable rate of growth in terms of prices was recorded for supplies to Bhutan, while the prices for the other major destinations experienced more modest paces of growth.

Over the period under review, orange juice imports continue to indicate a buoyant expansion. The pace of growth was the most pronounced in 2011 when imports increased by X% y-o-y. Imports peaked in 2018 and are expected to retain its growth in the immediate term.

The most prominent rate of growth was recorded in 2011 when imports increased by X% against the previous year. Imports peaked in 2018 and are expected to retain its growth in the immediate term.

Imports by Country

In 2018, Nepal (X tonnes) constituted the largest orange juice supplier to India, with a X% share of total imports. Moreover, orange juice imports from Nepal exceeded the figures recorded by the second-largest supplier, the U.S. (X tonnes), threefold. The third position in this ranking was occupied by Brazil (X tonnes), with a X% share.

From 2007 to 2018, the average annual rate of growth in terms of volume from Nepal totaled +X%. The remaining supplying countries recorded the following average annual rates of imports growth: the U.S. (+X% per year) and Brazil (+X% per year).

In value terms, Nepal ($X), Brazil ($X) and the U.S. ($X) appeared to be the largest orange juice suppliers to India, with a combined X% share of total imports. Pakistan, Israel, Egypt and Malaysia lagged somewhat behind, together comprising a further X terms of the main suppliers, Egypt recorded the highest growth rate of imports, over the last eleven years, while the other leaders experienced more modest paces of growth.

The average orange juice import price stood at $X per tonne in 2018, falling by -X% against the previous year. Overall, the import price indicated conspicuous growth from 2007 to 2018: its price increased at an average annual rate of +X% over the last eleven years. The trend pattern, however, indicated some noticeable fluctuations being recorded throughout the analyzed period. The pace of growth was the most pronounced in 2011 when the average import price increased by X% year-to-year. In that year, the average import prices for orange juice attained their peak level of $X per tonne. From 2012 to 2018, the growth in terms of the average import prices for orange juice remained at a somewhat lower figure.

There were significant differences in the average prices amongst the major supplying countries. In 2018, the country with the highest price was Pakistan ($X per tonne), while the price for Malaysia ($X per tonne) was amongst the lowest.
