Over the period under review, exports reached the maximum at X tonnes in 2010; however, from 2011 to 2020, exports failed to regain the momentum.

In value terms, grapefruit exports dropped to $X in 2020. In general, exports, however, posted strong growth. The pace of growth was the most pronounced in 2015 with an increase of X% against the previous year. Exports peaked at $X in 2010; however, from 2011 to 2020, exports failed to regain the momentum.

Nepal (X tonnes) was the main destination for grapefruit exports from India, with a X% share of total exports. Moreover, grapefruit exports to Nepal exceeded the volume sent to the second major destination, Bangladesh (X tonnes), more than tenfold.

The most prominent rate of growth was recorded in 2015 when imports increased by X% y-o-y. Over the period under review, imports hit record highs in 2020 and are expected to retain growth in the immediate term.

In value terms, grapefruit imports reduced to $X in 2020. Overall, imports showed strong growth. The most prominent rate of growth was recorded in 2015 with an increase of X% year-to-year.
