Exports from India
In 2022, overseas shipments of duck and goose meat decreased by X% to X tons for the first time since 2017, thus ending a four-year rising trend. Over the period under review, exports, however, enjoyed strong growth. The growth pace was the most rapid in 2018 when exports increased by X% against the previous year. The exports peaked at X tons in 2021, and then declined dramatically in the following year.
In value terms, duck and goose meat exports declined rapidly to $X in 2022. Overall, exports continue to indicate a relatively flat trend pattern. The pace of growth was the most pronounced in 2018 with an increase of X%. Over the period under review, the exports reached the peak figure at $X in 2021, and then dropped markedly in the following year.
Exports by Country
Kyrgyzstan (X tons) was the main destination for duck and goose meat exports from India, with a X% share of total exports. Moreover, duck and goose meat exports to Kyrgyzstan exceeded the volume sent to the second major destination, the United Arab Emirates (X tons), threefold.

Overall, imports, however, continue to indicate a significant increase. The most prominent rate of growth was recorded in 2021 with an increase of X%. As a result, imports attained the peak of X tons, and then declined sharply in the following year.
