Saudi Arabia (X units), the United States (X units) and the United Arab Emirates (X units) were the main destinations of desktop computer exports from India, together comprising 79% of total exports.
From 2012 to 2021, the most notable rate of growth in terms of shipments, amongst the main countries of destination, was attained by Saudi Arabia (with a CAGR of +116.1%), while the other leaders experienced more modest paces of growth.
In value terms, Russia ($X), Saudi Arabia ($X) and the United States ($X) were the largest markets for desktop computer exported from India worldwide, together accounting for 72% of total exports.
Saudi Arabia, with a CAGR of +80.1%, saw the highest rates of growth with regard to the value of exports, in terms of the main countries of destination over the period under review, while shipments for the other leaders experienced more modest paces of growth.

In 2021, the average desktop computer export price amounted to $X per unit, declining by -10.4% against the previous year. In general, the export price saw a drastic downturn. The pace of growth was the most pronounced in 2015 an increase of 125%. As a result, the export price attained the peak level of $X per unit. From 2016 to 2021, the the average export prices failed to regain momentum.
There were significant differences in the average prices for the major foreign markets. In 2021, the country with the highest price was Russia ($X per unit), while the average price for exports to the United Arab Emirates ($X per unit) was amongst the lowest.
From 2012 to 2021, the most notable rate of growth in terms of prices was recorded for supplies to Namibia (+1.1%), while the prices for the other major destinations experienced a decline.

In 2021, purchases abroad of desktop computers increased by 114% to X units for the first time since 2018, thus ending a two-year declining trend. Overall, imports posted buoyant growth. The growth pace was the most rapid in 2014 with an increase of 133%. As a result, imports reached the peak of X units. From 2015 to 2021, the growth of imports failed to regain momentum.
In value terms, desktop computer imports soared to $X in 2021. Over the period under review, imports saw a tangible expansion. The pace of growth was the most pronounced in 2018 with an increase of 126% against the previous year. Over the period under review, imports attained the maximum at $X in 2014; however, from 2015 to 2021, imports remained at a lower figure.

Hong Kong SAR (X units), China (X units) and Taiwan (Chinese) (X units) were the main suppliers of desktop computer imports to India, together accounting for 88% of total imports.
From 2012 to 2021, the biggest increases were in Hong Kong SAR (with a CAGR of +28.6%), while purchases for the other leaders experienced more modest paces of growth.
In value terms, China ($X) constituted the largest supplier of desktop computer to India, comprising 45% of total imports. The second position in the ranking was taken by Hong Kong SAR ($X), with an 18% share of total imports. It was followed by Taiwan (Chinese), with an 8% share.
From 2012 to 2021, the average annual growth rate of value from China totaled +11.9%. The remaining supplying countries recorded the following average annual rates of imports growth: Hong Kong SAR (+22.7% per year) and Taiwan (Chinese) (+8.6% per year).

The average desktop computer import price stood at $X per unit in 2021, waning by -8.3% against the previous year. Over the period under review, the import price showed a slight descent. The most prominent rate of growth was recorded in 2020 when the average import price increased by 12%. The import price peaked at $X per unit in 2013; however, from 2014 to 2021, import prices stood at a somewhat lower figure.
There were significant differences in the average prices amongst the major supplying countries. In 2021, the country with the highest price was Germany ($X per unit), while the price for the United Arab Emirates ($X per unit) was amongst the lowest.
