From 2012 to 2020, the most notable rate of growth in terms of shipments, amongst the main countries of destination, was attained by Slovenia, while exports for the other leaders experienced mixed trend patterns.
In value terms, the largest markets for wood pellets exported from Hungary were Italy ($X), Slovenia ($X) and Austria ($X), together accounting for X% of total exports.

Imports into Hungary
In 2020, approx. X tons of wood pellets were imported into Hungary; growing by X% compared with 2019 figures. Overall, imports showed buoyant growth. The pace of growth appeared the most rapid in 2016 when imports increased by X% y-o-y. Over the period under review, imports hit record highs in 2020 and are likely to see steady growth in the near future.
