Over the period under review, polycarbonate exports attained their maximum at X tonnes in 2017, and then declined slightly in the following year.

In value terms, polycarbonate exports totaled $X in 2018. In general, polycarbonate exports, however, continue to indicate an outstanding expansion. The most prominent rate of growth was recorded in 2012 with an increase of X% year-to-year. Exports peaked in 2018 and are likely to continue its growth in the immediate term.

Exports by Country

Slovakia (X tonnes) was the main destination for polycarbonate exports from Hungary, with a X% share of total exports. Moreover, polycarbonate exports to Slovakia exceeded the volume sent to the second major destination, Romania (X tonnes), tenfold. The third position in this ranking was occupied by Germany (X tonnes), with a X% share.

From 2007 to 2018, the average annual growth rate of volume to Slovakia amounted to +X%. Exports to the other major destinations recorded the following average annual rates of exports growth: Romania (+X% per year) and Germany (+X% per year).

In value terms, Slovakia ($X) remains the key foreign market for polycarbonate exports from Hungary, comprising X% of total polycarbonate exports. The second position in the ranking was occupied by Germany ($X), with a X% share of total exports. It was followed by Italy, with a X% share.

From 2007 to 2018, the average annual rate of growth in terms of value to Slovakia amounted to +X%. Exports to the other major destinations recorded the following average annual rates of exports growth: Germany (+X% per year) and Italy (+X% per year).

In 2018, the average polycarbonate export price amounted to $X per tonne, picking up by X% against the previous year. Overall, polycarbonate imports, however, continue to indicate a moderate increase. The most prominent rate of growth was recorded in 2010 with an increase of X% y-o-y. Over the period under review, polycarbonate imports attained their maximum at X tonnes in 2017, and then declined slightly in the following year.
