In 2021, after three years of decline, there was significant growth in supplies from abroad of frozen fish fillet, when their volume increased by X% to X tons. In general, imports, however, showed a relatively flat trend pattern. The growth pace was the most rapid in 2014 with an increase of X%. As a result, imports attained the peak of X tons. From 2015 to 2021, the growth imports remained at a lower figure.

Vietnam (X tons), Poland (X tons) and the Netherlands (X tons) were the main suppliers of frozen fish fillet imports to Hungary, with a combined X% share of total imports. Slovakia, Slovenia, Denmark, China, Spain, Germany, Sweden, Romania, Belgium and Kazakhstan lagged somewhat behind, together accounting for a further X 2012 to 2021, the most notable rate of growth in terms of purchases, amongst the main suppliers, was attained by Sweden (with a CAGR of +X%), while imports for the other leaders experienced more modest paces of growth.
