The most prominent rate of growth was recorded in 2013 when exports increased by 50%. As a result, the exports attained the peak of X cubic meters. From 2014 to 2016, the growth of the exports failed to regain momentum.

Austria (X cubic meters) was the main destination for coniferous wood in the rough exports from Hungary, accounting for a 79% share of total exports. The total import volume increased at an average annual rate of +5.8% from 2012 to 2016; however, the trend pattern indicated some noticeable fluctuations being recorded in certain years. The most prominent rate of growth was recorded in 2015 when imports increased by 18%. Imports peaked in 2016 and are expected to retain growth in the immediate term.

In value terms, coniferous wood in the rough imports amounted to $X in 2016. Overall, imports, however, showed a pronounced reduction. The most prominent rate of growth was recorded in 2014 with an increase of 19% against the previous year. Imports peaked at $X in 2012; however, from 2013 to 2016, imports failed to regain momentum.

Ukraine (X cubic meters), Slovakia (X cubic meters) and Belarus (X cubic meters) were the main suppliers of coniferous wood in the rough imports to Hungary, together accounting for 100% of total imports.
