In value terms, Mexico ($X), Japan ($X) and South Korea ($X) constituted the countries with the highest levels of imports in 2018, with a combined X% share of total imports. Vietnam, Spain, Iran, Egypt, the Netherlands, Italy, Colombia, Taiwan, Chinese, Saudi Arabia and Grenada lagged somewhat behind, together accounting for a further X terms of the main importing countries, Vietnam experienced the highest growth rate of imports, over the last eleven-year period, while the other leaders experienced more modest paces of growth.

Import Prices by Country

The maize import price in Grenada stood at $X per ton in 2018, declining by -X% against the previous year. In general, the maize import price, however, continues to indicate a relatively flat trend pattern. The pace of growth was the most pronounced in 2008 when the import price increased by X% year-to-year.
