Truck Market Size in Greece

Lebanon, Ghana, Syrian Arab Republic, Italy, Romania, France, Jordan, Norway and Georgia lagged somewhat behind, together comprising a further X 2007 to 2018, the most notable rate of growth in terms of exports, amongst the main countries of destination, was attained by Norway (+X% per year), while the other leaders experienced more modest paces of growth.

The average truck export price stood at $X per unit in 2018, declining by -X% against the previous year. Overall, the truck export price continues to indicate an abrupt descent. The growth pace was the most rapid in 2016 when the average export price increased by X% year-to-year. Over the period under review, the average export prices for trucks reached their peak figure at $X per unit in 2008; however, from 2009 to 2018, export prices stood at a somewhat lower figure.

Prices varied noticeably by the country of destination; the country with the highest price was Norway ($X per unit), while the average price for exports to Jordan ($X per unit) was amongst the lowest.

From 2007 to 2018, the most notable rate of growth in terms of prices was recorded for supplies to Nigeria, while the prices for the other major destinations experienced a decline.

In 2018, the imports of trucks into Greece totaled X units, growing by X% against the previous year. Over the period under review, truck imports, however, continue to indicate a drastic drop. The most prominent rate of growth was recorded in 2008 with an increase of X% year-to-year. In that year, truck imports attained their peak of X units. From 2009 to 2018, the growth of truck imports remained at a somewhat lower figure.

In 2018, Germany (X units) constituted the largest supplier of truck to Greece, accounting for a X% share of total imports. Moreover, truck imports from Germany exceeded the figures recorded by the second-largest supplier, France (X units), fivefold. The third position in this ranking was occupied by Spain (X units), with a X% share.

From 2007 to 2018, the average annual rate of growth in terms of volume from Germany amounted to -X%. The remaining supplying countries recorded the following average annual rates of imports growth: France (-X% per year) and Spain (-X% per year).
