The average starter motor export price stood at $X per tonne in 2018, going up by X% against the previous year. Over the period under review, the starter motor export price continues to indicate a resilient expansion. The pace of growth was the most pronounced in 2014 when the average export price increased by X% y-o-y. The export price peaked in 2018 and is expected to retain its growth in the near future.

There were significant differences in the average prices for the major foreign markets. In 2018, the country with the highest price was Serbia ($X per tonne), while the average price for exports to Georgia ($X per tonne) was amongst the lowest.

Imports peaked at X tonnes in 2011; however, from 2012 to 2018, imports stood at a somewhat lower figure.

In value terms, starter motor imports amounted to $X in 2018. In general, starter motor imports continue to indicate temperate growth. China (X tonnes), Germany (X tonnes) and Malaysia (X tonnes) were the main suppliers of starter motor imports to Greece, together comprising X% of total imports. Italy, Indonesia, the Netherlands, Hungary, Taiwan, Chinese, Denmark and Bulgaria lagged somewhat behind, together accounting for a further X 2007 to 2018, the most notable rate of growth in terms of imports, amongst the main suppliers, was attained by Hungary, while the other leaders experienced more modest paces of growth.
